Master of Communication & Journalism is a 2-year post-graduate program in mass communication. The major area of the study are Mass Communication categories, Film, Media, Journalism, and sub-category Journalism. The course covers all the media from newspaper to television including news headlines to film scripts. The MCJ programme consist of the major sub-disciplines such as Print Journalism, Copywriting, Creative Problem-Solving Skills, Media & Society etc
The basic eligibility required to apply for this programme is any bachelor's degree from a recognized institute with a minimum of 50-60% marks.

- A Bachelors degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 50-60% marks in any discipline.
- 5% relaxation is allowed for students from reserved communities.
Master of Communication & Journalism [MCJ] Admission Process
There are two kinds of admission process for the program enrolment. Entrance-based and merit-based.
Entrance Based Admission: Here the admission is allotted based on the entrance exams conducted by the relevant institute. Students with the relevant cutoff marks will get the admission in the respective colleges after counseling. Most of the institutions conduct a Group Discussion and Personal Interview for the admission allotment. JMI Mass Communication Entrance Exam, WLCI, and SIMC MA (MC) Entrance Exam are some of the top entrance exams for admission to this programme.
Merit-Based Admission: This also can be called Management Quota admission or Direct admission. In this admission process, the student has to apply directly to the desired university or college through their application process. Some of them offer online and some offline.
