The Oxford College of Nursing Admissions
Admission to all courses at the Oxford College of Nursing is based on merit. Students must complete the application form and submit self-attested documents by a specified deadline. Please submit all the necessary documents to avoid automatic cancellation of admission.
For bachelor's degree programs, admission is determined by the marks obtained in the 12th examination. For master's degree programs, specific requirements apply.

The Oxford College of Nursing Application Process
- All applications are accepted online.
- Admission is granted based on merit.
- Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria outlined in the next section.
- After submitting the application form, a counseling session will be conducted to allocate student seats and finalize the admission process.
The Oxford College of Nursing BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria.
- Pre-University Examination or Equivalent: Students who have passed the two years Pre-University examination or recognized equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- RGUHS [Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences] must recognize the examination.
- Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) must secure at least 40% marks in the science subjects and English of the qualifying examination.
- Vocational Course Eligibility: Students who have completed a 10+2 vocational course conducted by the Kerala state government are eligible. The vocational course should include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as mandatory subjects.
For assessing eligibility, the marks obtained in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are considered as per the ordinances governing the Basic BSc Nursing course of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
The Oxford College of Nursing Post BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
- Have a GNM (Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery): To apply for the Post Basic BSc in Nursing program, you must possess a General Nursing & Midwifery diploma.
- Registered Nurse Status: Being a registered nurse is a fundamental requirement for seeking admission to the program.
- Pass Pre-University Examination: Aspiring candidates must have successfully passed the pre-university examination in arts, science, or commerce. Alternatively, the candidate can present an equivalent qualification recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
- Proficient in English: It is essential to have a working knowledge of English. Communicating effectively in English is crucial in nursing, ensuring efficient patient care and effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the Post Basic BSc in Nursing program.
- Impeccable Personal and Professional Records: Admissions committees consider candidates' personal and professional records. Maintaining a positive track record regarding personal conduct and professional achievements enhances the chances of securing admission.
- Age: Candidates should ensure they are below 48 as of 31st December of the admission year.
The Oxford College of Nursing MSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
- Registration with a State Nursing Registration Council: To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a valid registration with any State Nursing Registration Council as registered nurses and midwives.
- Basic B.Sc. Nursing: Candidates must have completed Basic B.Sc. Nursing from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka or any other recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 55%.
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: Candidates who have completed Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka or its equivalent, with a minimum aggregate score of 55%.
- Work Experience: Candidates applying for MSc in Nursing must have at least one year of work experience after obtaining their Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree.
